Export potential of the Russian automotive industry. Mechanisms of support. Serious changes are coming for the domestic car industry. After a catastrophic decline in domestic demand in 2013–2016, the government decided to rely on exports to recover the industry. According to the draft of the strategy for the development of car industry exports by 2025 submitted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation in early June, under the base scenario, the growth of export sales with the help of measures developed by the Ministry of Industry should soon increase to 4.9 billion US dollars per year.
