For the first time, the Annual International Forum AutoEvolution 2017 will be devoted to not only the development of automobile and automotive components manufacturing in Russia, but also to the export potential of Russia, infrastructure projects and the development of logistics transport hubs.A series of events organized by the
Government of Kaluga Region, the Russian Export Center and the business daily Vedomosti will bring together representatives of federal and regional authorities, state corporations, development institutions, automobile and automotive components manufacturers, managers of infrastructure projects and logistics hubs.

Event format

Serious changes are coming for the domestic car industry. After a catastrophic decline in domestic demand in 2013–2016, the government decided to rely on exports to recover the industry. According to the draft of the strategy for the development of car industry exports by 2025 submitted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation in early June, under the base scenario, the growth of export sales with the help of measures developed by the Ministry of Industry should soon increase to 4.9 billion US dollars per year.

However, neither the main industry players nor the government of the Russian Federation are going to give up. Companies are changing their development strategies in the struggle for competitiveness and efficiency, and the government is preparing programs for leading the industry out of the crisis.
