From 1993 to 1998 – researcher of the Kaluga Sociology Institute.
From 1999 to 2004 – Senior Professor at K.E. Tsiolkovsky Kaluga State University.
From 2002 to 2004 – Governor’s Adviser, Administration of the Kaluga Region.
2010 – Member, State Duma’s working party for the elaboration of a heat power industry law.
